FW09 Ad Campaigns
16th December, 2009

Yes, I know you can find these ones everywhere and you’ll see them a thousand more times before they dissapear when facing next season ads, but very very few people comment something about the inspiration, where they come from, where does all this fashion evolution leads to. It’s like: oh ok, it’s pretty, the girl looks nice. Done. There’s so much more behind the exotic locations, blurry moves, pretty girls and extravagant make ups, and i’ve got a little something to say about it, you’re all invited.
La Crème de la crème

Gucci Gucci Gucci or should I say Halston? Saw his work the other day and this campaign come to my mind as a flashback. I like the reinterpretation and obviously Abbey Lee, Freha, Raquel and Anja in it. By INEZ AND VINOODH.
10/10. Por INEZ & VINOODH.
Now i DO LOVE jpg. He’s played with the androgynous theme since Agyness Deyn with MaDame and 3ème sexe, but Raquel Zimmermann is really the one. Not more a game, but a statement and Raquel’s skills for interpreting an androgyny is perfect, both her physics and attitude. 10/10. By INEZ AND VINOODH.

Blah on Fendi if you want, too much fur, PETA’s gonna kill’em, etc, but I love this seasons campaign result. Jessica Stam in a mysterious location, misty and dark, even the smoky eyes and dark fur go with the idea. Makes me think of London streets and Sherlock Holmes lol. perfect. By Karl Lagerfeld.

Eniko Mihalik and Constance Jablosnki, the golden girls for Cesare Paciotti. I love them both, I love the simplicity of it, and I love red/black combo. So it’s approved anyway altough i’ve had enough of this ad. By Mario Sorrenti.

Missoni is # 1 for me this season. I’m not a huge fan of the brand, but this image speaks for itself. Loving the wind, the blurry effect, the flying hairs and scarf and light pink tones with blurry planting behind, just amazing. By Ryan McGinley

Got the hunch that Grace Coddington did this styling inspired in 20s and Galliano lol. Anyway, i love the brownish and golden tones and the whirlwind visible by flying papers, so creative. By Steven Meisel.

I love Lanvin, but it’s not here for favorite, but for mocking. The cat in Iris Strubegger head’s got crazy nutty eyes, i literally LMAO when i saw this. Ehh.. no.

Finally, Prada. Ooohh, Prada you’ve enchanted me with this ad, it’s perfect. The girls look like Renaissance paintings, big magic fluffy hair, relax but studied poses, dark background. It’s perfection, so artistic, so historic. By Steven Meisel.
ENJOY.
